“My name is Simba-Momo’s Red Simba, and I am a proud registered Gypsy Vanner, born on December 18, 2007. Some say I’m handsome… I prefer the term magnificent.
I came to Nature’s Edge Therapy Center through a special journey with help from Lexlin Gypsy Ranch in Kentucky, along with Becky, Barb, and Theresa from the Board of Directors who believed I could make a difference here. Before arriving, I was loved by an elderly rider who trusted me on peaceful trail rides. Now, I have a new purpose—helping patients find confidence, strength, and joy.
Because of my wide build, gentle movement, and calm nature, I’m especially helpful for adults and riders who need a steady partner. I stand tall, stay patient, and listen well… even when humans tell me the same story twice.
During Horses for Mental Health Month, I hope you’ll consider supporting the horses like me who make therapy possible every day. Your kindness helps provide feed, hoof care, veterinary care, and all the things we need to stay healthy and ready to serve.
From the bottom of my big Gypsy heart… thank you for loving horses like me.”
